Rania graduated from the University of Sydney in 2007 with a Bachelor of Economic & Social Sciences. During her degree, she completed an extended major in Industrial Relations & Human Resource Management and a major in Government & International Relations. As part of her studies Rania also undertook an internship with an Australian trade union and was involved in enterprise bargaining whilst at University.

Rania joined Harmers as a Summer Clerk in December 2009 and continued as a paralegal until completion of her law degree. In 2010, Rania graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology, where she studied Labour Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Prior to working at Harmers, she also worked as a paralegal in the in-house legal department of a large Australian company.

Rania was admitted as a solicitor in April 2011.
