Niaz graduated from City University in London, England, with a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) Degree in June 2007. During her time at university, Niaz completed an exchange programme with the Queensland University of Technology where she majored in international human rights law.
Prior to joining Harmers, Niaz worked as a law clerk for several barristers in London.
Niaz joined the Harmers’ Brisbane team as a graduate-at-law in July 2008 and was admitted as a solicitor in September 2008.
Since joining Harmers, Niaz has assisted both individuals and corporate clients with a range of employment and industrial related issues, including:
• discrimination and equal opportunity;
• unfair dismissals;
• negotiation of industrial agreements; and
• employment contracts and policies.
Niaz's current professional memberships include the Queensland Law Society, the Industrial Relations Society of Queensland and the Queensland Young Lawyers Society.
