Kyle graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2009 with a combined Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business degree along with a Diploma of Legal Practice. During his studies, Kyle majored in International Business and undertook studies in employment law and industrial relations.

Kyle joined Harmers in 2008 as a summer clerk and continued to work as a paralegal until the completion of his studies. Kyle was admitted as a solicitor in February 2010.
