Andrew Molnar

Andrew joined Harmers in 2008. Prior to joining Harmers, Andrew worked in a large national firm and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission where he mainly worked in insolvency litigation and large corporate collapses. Since specialising in employment law, Andrew has represented clients in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission, the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission, the Federal Court of Australia and all Victorian Courts.
Andrew has worked across the firm’s practice areas. He has represented both individuals and corporate clients in the following areas:

drafting and advising on contracts of employment and independent contractor agreements;

advising employers and employees on unfair dismissal applications in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission;

advising employers and employees in relation to equal opportunity and human rights;

advising employers and employees in relation to obligations and entitlements under various industrial instruments including awards and workplace agreements;

the defence of occupational health and safety prosecutions; and
-
drafting various workplace policies including policies relating to equal opportunity, privacy, intellectual property and occupational health and safety.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (Honours) from Deakin University. During his studies, he was awarded the prize for International Trade and Dispute Resolution and received first prize for advocacy at the Willem C. Vis Arbitration Moot in Vienna. Andrew is currently completing a Masters in Labour Relations at the University of Melbourne.
