Bronwyn Maynard
Senior Associate and Team Leader
Bronwyn is a Senior Associate & Team Leader with Harmers. She joined Harmers in 1999, while finalising her undergraduate university studies, and was admitted as a solicitor in 2001.
Bronwyn holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) degrees from the University of Sydney. She also holds a Masters of Law and Management (“MLM”) from the University of New South Wales, with the management component of that degree being provided by the Australian Graduate School of Management. She undertook the MLM degree to gain a greater appreciation of the management issues that may be faced by the corporate clients she advises.
During her studies, Bronwyn was awarded the university prizes for Anti-Discrimination Law, and for Data Surveillance and Information Privacy Law.
Bronwyn provides strategic and practical advice in relation to a range of employment and industrial law issues, including:
• discrimination and equal employment opportunity; • privacy obligations; • separation management; and • contractual terms and company policies.
Bronwyn has represented clients in, among other things, conciliations in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission, Industrial Relations Commission of NSW and the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission.
She also regularly presents seminars to HR advisers and managers, as well as conducts training sessions in-house for companies, on employment law issues.
